Sacred Words Entry #5 Guerilla Hot Sauce

This term – the term guerilla hot sauce or guerilla blessings is a term that really kept me going through the hard times of building the Sacred Works Project and Mama’s Fire.  I loved and still love the idea of infusing a hot sauce with bodhicitta loving kindness and then selling it.

First let me share with you how I do it.  Written into the food process for Mama’s Fire Traditional Tibetan Hot Sauce is a mantra that loosely translates from Sanskrit into “I offer you oceans of bodhi, so be it.”  This mantra is said three times over each batch of hot sauce as the secret ingredients – other spices – are added.

The intention then is that the blessed sauce will bless the consumer’s food bringing with it health and good fortune.  It just makes me so happy to think of all the people eating Mama’s Fire receiving these blessings.  Like I said when things got hard with the FDA this feeling kept me going.  When I was challenged implementing the business model, the thought of people healing and becoming more enlightened through hot sauce kept a smile on my face.  When I had to learn about marketing  and then make that happen, the thought of sneaking blessings to all sentient beings so that they could be happy in such frightening times lit the fire in me I needed to keep everything moving forward.

There are many more secret elements to the mantra because it is Tara and her two sisters mantra (they gave it to me to use), sounds crazy but it is true.  If you want to know more information or have any questions at all please feel free to ask.  May the wave be released.
