Bodhi Fire

What is bodhicitta?  I keep talking about it in this blog but what the hell is it.  It is the core, the reason for everything that I have done in my life.  Bodhicitta is born from suffering.  The horror of the world is its fuel and it is a flame that springs forth from suffering and burns.  Bodhicitta is fire, primal fire.

It is a kindness that meets all experience and completes it like a fire burning wood to ash; every bit of the suffering is met.  Bodhicitta is a fearless and wrathful love.  It is completely daring and afraid of nothing.  Every horror is there for the sole purpose of bringing it to life and letting it blaze.  Suffering is not a problem, nor is it to be shunned.  It is the secret path to enlightenment.  If we can meet all of suffering we meet bodhicitta.  If we meet bodhicitta we meet the ground nature of mind – the great mother. 

The sauce is the Sacred Works Project’s first sacred project.  It is its most important project.  Mama’s Fire is an endeavor to fuse this energy, the energy that can meet, complete, join and heal all others energies, bodhicitta into a food that can be shared with all human beings.  I believe this is possible only because of all the yogic practice I have done over the past sixteen years.  And now I am working to make that happen with the help of many good people.
