Oceans and Oceans of Bodhi
Kindness and offerings
Hello all,
I wanted to share something amazing. A friend of mine from college is showing sacred works project the great kindness of updating and correcting the spelling errors in the web site, as well as adding a new shopping cart that works. Check out the project he is working on. Kindness begets kindness and I cannot wait to read his new book series. This is the site he made for his book, and I am really looking forward to sharing with you all the site he is making for us at the sacred works project.
You have to copy paste it into the browser as I don't know how to do it any other way.

So, I have felt quite bold this summer and somehow it seems by magic have gotten the sauce placed in Whole Foods in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Cids in Taos, Whole foods again in Colorado Springs, Denver, Golden, Lakewood, Fort Collins, Boulder and most recently Sugarhouse Whole Foods in Salt Lake City Utah. Most, most recently at the Overland Park Whole Foods in Overland Park, Kansas. Along with a cool fruit stand on highway 101 called Bear Creek Artichokes and most recently the sauce is being served in a restaurant called Venti's Cafe in Salem, Oregon. They are making a rich and glorious treat they call Tibetan BBQ beef using Mama's Fire and apples in the sauce and now a pulled pork sandwich. I cannot tell you what an honor it was to eat the Tibetan BBQ beef with a friend of mine. It seems that persistence is a positive quality I possess.

The country fair and mother tara
She was everywhere
was Tara
At the fair
in the drums on the shirts
beautifully painted breasts
in short skirts;
I felt the tattoo painted
We opened gates
Monkey and Pigsy
to shiva's mate
Evam on the stilts
holy fuck he know that magic
What is your definition?
slap!!! Ekajati
Oracle of Amazing Bliss
Family first
creation second
manifest last
Two bottles given
Goddess seen
dakini's dancing
it was all such a dream
Then her shrines
Shiva's cave times two
His dreads in the ocean
water fall log
pouring diamonds
That river of seats
Even a cave for me
And then our journey
pitch black
two miles to long
We had to walk back
His fire awaited
music and story
Monkey and Ekajati
how they did dance
Dedicated the merit
and then it was done
and I got to tell you
We had a hell of a lot of fun!

To be of benefit
Kindness is a rare thing indeed. So much so, that I think it is often mistaken as weakness. In a culture based on power and control, it is confusing to be kind. To be honest, I do not care how it is perceived. Kindness is the most precious of things.
I have a new story tell. The slogan of Mama's Fire Gourmet sauces is Oceans and oceans of bodhi. Bodhi is the loving kindness the Buddha understood under the bodhi tree, Christ understood on the cross, it is the kindness all of the great saints came to realize by different names. This is the offering. Because it is the only thing, in my opinion worth having.
Recently a good friend and Dharma brother invited me to sail in the San Francisco bay. Sail we did. While we were on the waters we made an offering together. I had been given dutsi, a Tibetan medicine which holds the energetic quality of bodhicitta. As a side note, I plan to make a beer with it one day called enlightenment ale. I have one daily and it has had incredible transformative effect on my mind. Back to the story. The offering made was to drop this blessing medicine into the ocean.
Why is this a big deal. It may or may not be but it is said that this medicine was passed down to us from Padmasambhava a great Buddhist saint as a medicine for the 100,000 illnesses he foresaw coming into the world. To put this medicine into liquid blesses the liquid turning it into an ambrosia of sorts called amrita. The blue water below us and the sun above us, the wind in the sails we made the offering, me holding a prayer and my friend dropping a large chunk of the brown medicine from the back of his sail boat into the bay. The wish that was made at that time the thing that was asked for was Oceans of bodhicitta. It is done. We dropped the dutsi into the bay which is connected with all of the oceans of the world. May it be of benefit to all, may it bring about a golden age once more. May it defeat the king of the demons and close the door to his realm for all time.
It was a very good day indeed. My hope in sharing is to clarify my intentions with the sauce. It is an offering of kindness to all, to bind kindness to the brutality of the material world. My thought of how to truly be of benefit to all beings. Much love all, peace, kindness, and wild joy!

The sauce is back!
There is an ancient story that captures the feeling of this long and painful wait. It is said that the king of demons hung over a sacrificial fire for ten years to attain a certain siddhi. The siddhi was the power over the material world. Well, I must say that bringing the sauce back from the dead has felt much like hanging over a terribly hot fire. And we shall see if the boon is granted. But, the reincarnation has taken place. The sauce is made with a new label and look. It is easier to use and still great for cooking - it tastes the same. the BBQ sauce is amazing! My wife said that I could not give this business venture up until I had shared the BBQ sauce with you all. It is done and I can't wait to hear what you think of it. The sauce is availible in 11 stores right now as I write these very words:
Ziji Gift Shop in Boulder, CO
Willows market in Palo Alt CA
Food Front in Portland, OR
Astoria Coop in Astoria OR
Madison Market in Seattle, WA
Kiva Market in Eugene, OR
Tea Party Book Store in Salem, OR
Red Barn Grocery in Eugene, OR
Ashland Coop in Ashland OR
Rainbow Market in San Francisco, CA

and is soon to be availible at Ideal Market in Boulder, CO
Please support the Sacred Works Project by going down to one of these strores and getting some sauce. If a store in your area has yet to offer it go in and ask them to do so. Thank you again everyone. The sauce is blessed with the following mantra Om Shari Bodhi Sagara Swaha - I offer you oceans of bodhi so be it. See earlir post for the properties of bodhicitta. They say it three times over each batch as it is made at the new cannery - Paradigm Foodworks. I love it, it is time for a new paradigm the wave is now released may it bless all indiscriminatly.
